No, it's not because of her disability. It's because he's disappointed of her father/his son's action. Because both of grandfather and father's awkward personality, their relationship became more and more distant.

That sounds right too. But isn’t their relationship strained because the grandpa thinks he waits his talents/time trying to cure his daughter? I honestly can’t remember, but I hope it continues in this direction and she gets treated better in the family
I thought the grandpa was supposed to be kinda a dick? Wasn’t he completely disinterested in her once she lost her martial ability, and kick her out to the annex? Wasn’t his attitude what led the rest of the family to treat her like trash, and he never did anything about it?
