well it was mostly understanding the question it self (reading comprehension) / stock knowledge but i advise you to use an app call quizlet or any apps that is similar to it.. it really helps me a lot with memorizing and understanding the topic itself that i need to study

i used to do quizlets and flashcards and it worked great, esp. during the pandemic when all our classes was online. but it was so time consuming to do, and it hurts my eyes looking at screens all day

now im in college, i just try my best to be engaged with the discussion right from the start and jot down some notes so whenever i review the material, it would be easy to study since im just recalling what i learned in class.

i know it's hard to be always awake in class so i just bring some candy or some snacks so i wont fall asleep.

    goodluck with your exams!

THis shit is so triggering, cuz right now I'm studying for my college entrance exams, and for every problem I solved I go back here ( switching tabs), I need to delete my account soon T^T

The best way is to watch youtube videos. As you are relaying on mental notes, it is the best option. I survived my Uni life by watching youtube videos and remember it like this as I am better at photographic memories rather than text memory. It works for me like this. And also use chatgpt. If you don't understand any theoretical problems try use promotes like "summarize", " Explain in easy words", "Breakdown the key points" like this.
It is easy way to remember topics.

Taking notes manually— I write it how I understand the lessons, technically writing it in my own terminologies and words, then reading it a couple of times a couple of days before the exam works for me and gave me decent grades back in college (I don't have high IQ or anything I'd say below average or average at best). I also make silly/funny code names that are easy for my brain to retain.

If I don't have enough time, I use apps like quizlet and flashcards and I also rely on YouTube videos that are short quick and straight to the point. I find that slow videos bore the heck out of me that I either don't pay attention at all or just literally give up on studying. If the video bores me out I always turn up the speed to 1.5, 1.75 or if the video's really slow x2. It Triggers my brain to keep up with the flashing information hence helping it to focus more and retain more information.

Now, not works for others works for all in studying. You also don't need to study overnight for it to work. Just study when you brain feels like retaining information the best, no matter how many minutes that is (repetition of information input is the most important, so just repeat and repeat every couple of minutes).

It's not about memorizing or studying/reviewing hard. You have to understand the lessons to the point that you can explain it using your own words and not the textbook meaning/explanation. That way you can answer the questions no matter how it is phrased.
