I think Sangwoo behaves a lot like his uncle which is why Bum is behaving like this. Everything happening is triggering memories from the past. Then on top of it, it seems like Bum just has a tendency to attract shitty people. He never had any friends or anyone to look out for him so he attaches himself to anyone who shows him the smallest bit of kindness. It's really sad.
I'm not certain if I agree that Sangwoo behaves like the uncle. From what we were recently shown, what they have in common is they both have physically beaten Bum. But that's it, in terms of behaviour, personality and motives they are quite different, in my opinion at least. And it's not that Bum attracts shitty people, but sadly I think it is because of the way Bum is himself. People see him as a cripple, they they are quick to judge his appearance. Everyone's an asshole to someone who's different, it is the sad, harsh truth. What's even more unfortunate is, if you think about it, had his parents not died, Bum might have had a good life. His uncle mentioned that Bum's dad is the star of the family and with a college degree. It literally fucking hurts me when I think about it. :/
I agree to a lot of things you said. But I don't think people always treat people who are different shitty. There are people who will try to understand other people who are different from them too.
