There are a lot of women who like this, I see it in korean manhwa often. Especially with 'MC is poor and mid, ML is rich and handsome' plot. It has no relation to reality, because MC is often has no redeeming qualities, she is as mid as possible, again to make her more relatable. It's not clear why ML will even look twice at MC,

Oh ofcourse she has to 'fall' and get saved, because God forbid the female lead in a romance novel excels in her own damn field without being a damsel in distress to push in your 'romance'. Just remembered why I can't read straight shit anymore I should have known her acting all confident about being able to do her own job just means the author is going to add a scene where she needs saving.
