also I HIGHLY HIGHHHHLY recommend the animation called "ultra beast force/ revevolution" you can find the entire series on YT with subtitles it's 66 episodes. the characters aint the best looking but it's exactly what you described. It starts off all funny and shit but then as it progresses it goes deep into the character's life and their experiences from the place they live 100k years ago and back with parallel universes, issues like slavery, killing your own kind, racism, the origins of war, good vs evil etc, ITS SO GOOD. And ofc the main cast's purpose at the beginning of the story to towards the end where they find out they were wrong about themselves MAN

This is pretty vague and can fit many works, but could someone recommend some of your favourite manhwas that don’t seem that serious at the start but as the plot progresses and twists, hidden secrets get revealed it becomes more and more complex and unexpected? for example hand jumper, survive romance etc. Basically the protagonist’s original comprehension of their circumstances turns out to be wrong
