I understand Dia feeling like she had no other choice and made that decision once Eiser left the family BUT he did tell her to TRUST HIM. He probably already knew he would have to leave the family at some point, which is why he mentioned that to her during their conversation. But like she said she didn’t trust him and she gave up. She didn’t fight or realize that she held the cards with being the ONLY CHILD in her family. Which left her to the current circumstances.
Yes, her and Serena’s situations were similar in a sense but the difference between them is Serena didn’t give up and fought despite her situation.
