I mean filial piety is a big deal but Asian familirs are a bit too extreme like where I'm from parents and grandparents would rather die than ask their kids or grandkids for money instead they're the ones giving money even if they don't have enough so I find it really mind boggling that some parents can have it in them to ask their own flesh and blood to sign on a loan

Yep it’s the same where I am from. My mother or grandma would NEVER take money from me. Sometimes I’m being sneaky and just put sum in their bag when they’re not looking tho I’m almost 30 and every time I go somewhere with my mom/grandma there’s no way I can pay for my stuff for myself lol that’s probably the reason why I find this trope so unpleasant for me to read idk
This trope with a youngster giving their mother/father/uncle/auntie cash irks me so bad I HATE it so much fml idk if this is a Korean or a fictional thing but I wouldn’t give a damn about their situation if they treated me like that in the past lol
I love my familybut Ii would’ve been long gone with a behaviour like this. And the people asking for cash? GROWM ASS PEOPLE begging for money from someone 19-25? lololol absolutely shameless
