I've had this thought earlier but... maybe Wei and Lian dont know that the dye is basically killing Xin? No one knows the ingredients besides Suna, and Chen also knows its lethal but he hates Xin & wants him dead I'm guessing. But maybe Lian doesnt know? Idk it just strikes me as odd that she’s killing Xin who she cares about so much. How can she say its for his happiness if she knows its literally killing him? Idk I'm not a Lian defender but its just so odd...

    the only explanation i could think of, if she knew the ink was killing him, is that death is some sort of relief from the life and pressures that xin is forced to withstand

    i used to think this too but man if thats the case just euthanize the bitch atp. why keep xin in this misery for so long i dont think her plan is to kill him cuz this would be quite possibly the most convoluted way of doing it
