I feel like there's a misunderstanding, i dont think mc would overreact over a confession. Its just the way ML express himself he tends to be misunderstood quite easily

I think there was something happened but ML doesn't seem conscious of it. He doesn't know what's wrong and tried to keep talking. He also doesn't know the failed idol thing.
But if it's inferiority complex, then it's annoying
