I agree. Also, mc just want to help people out by finding a cure. While everyone is greedy for power, etc. And ml only care about revenge. Ml could have show mc in a nice of way, but he was hella harsh. If ml doesn't want mc to get involved, he should have a more deep conversation.

Ml is not being harsh at all. The proper punishment is execution.
But then as we can see, the ML kept warning the MC about the consequences but MC is also stubborn as a rock. MC knows he can lose his life but he still doesn't care and keeps wanting discover the truth. Meanwhile for ML the MC is very precious to him, he knws if the higher up finds out what the MC has been doing, there won't be second any chance, it will be straight execution that also by the hands of the ML.
There's also a limit to know when not and when to stop, but for MC his just doing his own wish without even caring for the ML.
I get that ML was rough on the MC but still this is the only way for the MC to get his head into what's his heading into （/TДT)/
Honestly think everyone's being too hard on MC, saying he should've listened to ML. But sometimes, shouldn't you not just follow the status quo? When one of your closest colleagues are executed, and the corruption of your own government, is it wrong to try and find out the truth? His mistake was not being cautious enough to not be found out.
