In her dream, he didn't go back to his family, probably becuase he was afraid to hurt her, so she left, so that he wouldn't do that... The thing is her dream was probably incomplete, like I imagine he didn't go back for a specific reason? But that doesn't mean they didn't communicate or see each other the whole time?
