Why do people keep passing around these outdated copies of the novel...they removed the bit with the dog fucking so there's no way anybody gooning it to the manhwa will ever see it.
Because it’s the original, while it might not be added to the manhwa it doesn’t change the fact that it had other horrific scenes. He was still raped and beat up in both the “outdated” and revised version at the end of the day which is not defendable. Of course you’re still free to read it but I wanted to show the reason why it sparked some controversy and the people denying it.
I feel like we're way past the point of defending. Most of the people here are just here for a fucking nut. I mean it's great to clarify that there was certain content that has been revised and all but this iteration of the story is no longer accurate to the version we will be shown with the manhwa. And it's hard for me to feel any sympathy for the people who are aghast because they chose to read an outdated, pirated version of the novel.
Yeah I get it and all I mean I’m sure as hell am still reading it, even agreed with your most recent comment. This scene happened near the ending so yes if I endured reading it after all the rape it was my choice. Like I said though I was only mentioning it for the people denying it and the controversy. Even the revised version still has a lot going on for the people that don’t like violence. Side note: the art definitely carries the gooning part of the story which I had forgotten about after reading it.
Yeah, idk who read this like "I was ok with the constant rape and torture and the sexual assault committed against Juyeon when he was a minor but I draw the line at dog fucking" but I digress. It's no longer canon but it's been a trip to see people acting like that was their last straw. This entire story is a whole clusterfuck of problematic themes. Not to mention the bulk of the controversy was actually about Jiwook being mean to women and the implication he filmed sexual acts with women when he was a minor. Rape = , disrespecting women =
I’m aware of the misogyny controversy, I was talking about the fact that people were fighting about whether or not there was beastiality before I had made my comment. Either way, if the dog scene was or wasn’t there, it just shows how far the author is willing to go so my point was if that was in the original novel then don’t be surprised when there a shit ton of rape and such even in the revised version.
People are probably still gonna fight over it regardless. There are multiple popular comments explaining the story in detail, including the revisions but people would rather not use their eyes.
It been revised so much and frequently and I am pretty certain this will be revised. I took it as everyone and everything is horrendous and terrible. I don’t think the author or concept novel regardless of adaption even knew where it was going. It was like throwing a bunch of spaghetti on a wall and seeing what sticks. This will probably feel this way too. The art is nicely drawn though. I do not ever hold my breath to not shock me or give me the icky feelings. I still enjoy the thriller and messed up. To me, It feels like it’s leaning towards BL fan service but wants to also take it seriously as a psych thriller revenge story but then porny element mixed with the cutest element is all over the place. Hoping it tones down on the smut but I’ll just skim through it like everything else. That is all anyone has to do. Skip or stop reading. It’s crazy to see people arguing something they themselves didn’t write, draw or create.
