The main story ended w/ ML saving MC from antagonist (there's some drama here regarding their trauma), NOW if you're looking for ANGST, there's really heavy angst at side story 2 spanning around 10+ chapters I think if converted into manhwa (I read it as novel so I'm not sure). It was so heavy that I won't read that part again if I reread this someday. Both of them almost died, they survived but they were left a permanent damaged they gotta overcome for the rest of the ML and MC's life.

on a side note, why would the author put angst in a side story, and not the main one? It just seems kinda weird bc the story ended already.
For real, so many readers complained at the end, the main story and side 1 were completed so sweetly and harmonious, but then side 2 completely changed the atmosphere, it was so depressing.
