This is so so so sad! The ML is pure trash, and its easy to see that the rotten apple didn't fall far from the rotten tree! I know a lot of people are saying the fl is dumb, but honestly, I don't think she is. Us as readers could see that the "friend" was up to something, but when you are looking for a little bit of kindness, I think a lot of people forget that we try to grasp on to it, missing all the red flags. The fl is someone who has been categorically ripped from people who loved her, or were loved by her, and has looked for any bit of kindness from both the ML and "friend". I hope she finds happiness, but I really don't see how she could in that castle!
