I thought it would be satisfying to see the confrontation. But all I feel now is pure frustration.
The friend is right: Either he's asexual or he just hasn't met anyone who makes his heart flutter.

If he's asexual, I pity him because he wouldn't really feel any genuine love towards his partner. He'll just go through the motions because he knows it's the right thing to do. He doesn't really mean ill towards others, that's just how his brain is wired.
However, if it's the latter, I feel bad for YooMin since if he did find the one who'll make his heart flutter in the future, it just means that she wasted her time on him when she could've dated other people.

Or is it just my fault that I have the expectation that romance should always be hot and passionate from the get-go? Why can't love be calm and composed just like how he views it? The way he can say with full conviction that he would like to stay by her side forever and no one else?

He’s aro, look it up, it’s different, some people have little to no romantic attraction
