Also, although I agree with ur rant (because I’m also getting sick of the way she’s acting), they’re virgins lol. She was in her other life too. Even though the story was an erotica, I feel like she’s just trynna play it the way the story originally was (aka, waiting for HIM to start it), but when he came during the full moon tbh I can see where she’d feel uncomfortable since it was random lol—plus there were people outside that balcony. They’ll get there eventually, & when they do they’ll both feel it the way it should be for them.

There is no animal on earth who is clueless about s€x. If animal needed a manual all species would be extinct since long.

That’s true, I ain’t see it in a manual type of way. But I would think humans are a little different since we are conscious and think differently. I feel like the only way someone would be experienced in something like that would be by porn or already having an experience. But yeah maybe it goes into autopilot or something idk

I would love to recommend books by Frans De Waal, who was n amazing primatologist. He worked on both chimpanzees and Bonobos. I would go for either a title about bonobos or the latest about gender from a primatologists perspective.
From what i got, many animals have intimate relationships outside of reproductive drive, including lots of non primates. Bonobos would be a very strong case for the various aspects of s€xuatliy as a mean to feel good, ease relationships, lower stress levels and appease tension ( but it would be better to read from experts)

In his last book. (The one about gender) i understood what mostly makes us different would be be the many cultural limitations we carry - some of them being based on the very wrong belief that the only reason for s€x is reproduction : if it’s not true for other animals, there’s no way it’s true for us :)

I am truly very sorry when I read that pornography is a way of learning, as it carries lots of narrow, caricatural and violent representations of s€xuality. Most of them potentially misogynistic too.
I recall having been amazed when i saw a short movie about handicapped and intimacy. It was not pornographic, but it showed a nurse mapping pleasure zones on the body of a person in a wheelchair who was rediscovering what he thought he had lost forever.
There was an interesting debate about how much some people discovered about themselves after loosing some more obvious way to interact. It so happens that we can get very happy without even getting near to the few cm in the middle of our body.
It take time, self confidence to explore, when two are involved, trust and communication.
Being a bit older i also think learning about oneself is an absolute must. Don’t wait for anyone to teach you what you can learn already by yourself. It would be sad to be dependent on another « talent » or good will.
Lastly i guess you could say it does work on auto pilot, sure. We all know how to oumpa :)
Once one reach a reasonable age, there’s nothing to complicated in one of the most natural thing in the world.

Don’t hesitate to jump from one chapter to another (i often skipped his first chapters as it felt a bit heavy or slow to start, and came back later. It’s never a problem as he does jump from one topic or one experience to the other, like he was telling little bits of tales (
- all related to his biology finding, with very strict protocols, but it still feel like someone telling you interesting episodes of apes life.
It’s ok to read some bits as you please. It’s would be sad to miss the whole thing because some parts might be more aimed towards his colleagues when most of his writings are truly so generous and accessible)

I had less trouble with the first chapter of his latest book, but I wanted to add, he is never shy with words speaking of all kind of subject with a very free mind, and this book is about two burning topic : gender and s€x. One got to read it with an open mind and heart, it could undoubtedly shake a few beliefs, or shock , but if you’re ok with that, it’s just a gold mine, and I would say, especially it’s a treasure for women.
