Jiwook was intentionally written to be kind of dumb (you can go to fallnick_k on x to read some of the author's tweets in KR if you don't believe me) so I think that explains why he makes a lot of silly decisions, but at the same time he doesn't fully understand how far Juyeon is willing to go once his orders are disobeyed. No matter what he does he will be hurt in the worst possible way. I can't really blame Jiwook for thinking he can muscle his way out of this situation when he doesn't realize that Juyeon plotted, trained for, and manipulated this exact scenario for eight years.
