He 100% should, man got raped day 1 with a bunch of other people around hearing and getting off to it and now they constantly go at him because of it (got raped/blackmailed multiple times after that also). He has constantly been abused mentally and physically by Della and owes him no loyalty or respect even if he discovered after that he robbed Della/the mafia (??) group he was with resulting him Dellas almost death. You gotta do whats best for #1 and for him that is letting Della suffer (unless he is staying in block C with all the other inmates who want to rape and abuse him because then he NEEDS Della to survive, but he shouldnt stay loyal for love, thats for sure)
