Wow I actually liked this. It's a crazy story, almost a tragedy but what I like the most is that they're going through this together and both of them have their struggles and heal together. It's not another story with a toxic abusive top and some stupid excuse for the relationship to continue. I started reading out of curiosity bc someone recommended it but they described it as such and when that wasn't the case it was a pleasant surprise. It has angst but in the right way. Just wish we could have gotten an explanation for the pearls, why did he have that condition? My theory is he has mermaid blood
