Eugine himself already explain in previous chapter that Alexis hated prophecy because his father used to belive in them. the previous duke was deceive into believing that he couldn’t have children after alexis were born, so he abuse alexis (prob because of the family curse as well) so that he would be the perfect flawless future duke. but then he had son with another woman and went on rampage after realizing he had been deceive by a fake prophecy.

It wad mentioned i forgot but it was because of his father, but nonetheless this hatred thing needs to stop. Like he needs to get his sht together for the MC
