I have no idea what it is

But I can’t stand this MC. Like something about him bothers me so much yet I can’t put my finger on it, because I actually appreciate how the author sets up the realism of a transmigrated individual handling memory fade + the struggle to get back to their loved ones and original world! I think MAYBE it’s the unrealistic way he’s so desperate to get home only to turn around and fall in love within the drop of a hat despite telling himself every five minutes “do NOT like this guy because he’ll fuck you over in the plot” or “you HAVE to follow this plot line to finish the story and get home” just to fuck up the story.

It's because the MC is an unreliable narrator. What you're feeling and picking up is the author's hint at something which gets explained and resolved later in the future.

I dont know if I read it right but from what I read, MC said what he is feeling is the OGMC emotions for ML and not his, he just feeling it because he is in the body now and can't hold back since it was the OGMC that felt it plus ML is handsome.

See, I read that as him falling for the ML being nice (since he read the ML was cruel) and then wanted to blame what he felt on the character he inhabited. But so far we haven’t seen him “feel” his bodies feelings at any other point in time I believe so I think he’s trying to manipulate himself so he doesn’t admit he likes the dude since he knows in the original plot he’d be used and dumped.

True, because he want to remember the person he was before this.

Yes, I can only imagine that struggle which is what I think the author set up so well~ I’ll be fair and keep reading to see it develop haha
