He hated Taesan because the person he liked like him instead. I dislike ppl like this irl, to me they're delusional and foolish. Hating the other person will not make your crush like you. Also he hates Taesan but keeps pretending to be his friend for his own selfish reasons....Jun is toxic.

He actually hates him cz Taesan doesn't hate him (because if MC was him, he would hate him). MC is VERY rational, he will always choose himself at the end of the day, Junwoo is nothing if he has to choose himself.
MC also hates Taesan because he feels the need to help him since he doesn't want to help, in MC's eyes, him helping Taesan is not genuine at all, he just feels like he's being forced to cz Taesan is so pitiful.
MC is very self-centered, that's his character throughout the story, but not enough to be a narcissistic n blinded by "love"
MC's hatred towards Taesan is literally "why tf you still like me? Please leave me alone, yes I help u a few times but it ain't genuine, stop thanking me and thinking I'm a good person cz I am not"
Yea, but there's a difference between thinking something and doing something, though. Like in the end, he was the only one helping taesan even if he doesn't like him. It's like the blue hair girl in Saiki K. She acts kind w everyone, so she is kind.

you’re acting like people aren’t allowed to be jealous and have feelings of their own i dont understand how he’s toxic when he’s just a duplicitous character, your mischaracterisation of jun is insane and I would recommend you reread it and understand it more
Do you ever like someone? It's normal to not like your crush's crush, it's not delusional nor foolish. And just because you don't like someone, it doesn't mean you have to treat them like shit and show them how much you hate them (especially when Jun knows very well that his hatred wasn't Taesan's fault). What Jun is doing is common courtesy, sorry if you don't have that, must be shitty to be around you.
What do u want him to do then? He can't control his feeling, he's not some kind of superhuman. But he can control his behavior and he's doing a good job at it. In the end Taesan was still helped by him, so what's the problem?
lol the problem is that like that person said, he's using him for his personal benefit.. i understand that you look at that as realistic but it's still fucked up that he put on a front and made taesan feel as if he were a safe place to run to when he did not fw him at all
