They’re distant relatives so yes they are cousins in a way but also, they’re royalty and incest is not uncommon for them although most incest marriages in royalty irl are done out of political reasons and also to keep their bloodline pure, it doesn’t erase the fact that some nobles in the past have actually pursued their own cousins for marriages simply because they felt attracted to them as long as they’re “distant” regardless of how young they are. It’s still a hit or miss though.
