Tbh I can relate, it's easier for me to communicate with someone on a neutral ground, for whom I don't have strong feelings to cloud my reason than to somebody that I really really like and yearn for that to be reciprocated. When it's just a dude you don't really have a connection with, you can pretty easily set a diplomatic tone in the conversation or look at things in more objective manner. When you hear someone you deeply care about saying something that hurts your feelings, you have to calm yourself first and soothe the pain, then proceed with the conversation so the emotions won't take control over you. It also helps that the topic they spoke about related to Harang's family situation in a way, she has some insights on it and doesn't need to build up a courage to start a conversation. Not excusing the dragging pace of the story tho, I just want them to resolve this already, but yeah, that part feels pretty human to me.
