Usually they literally do it put of laziness, rather than some fictional kink. It goes like this:
>Character A and B are not in love yet
>Readers and author want them to have sex already
>Author isn't competent enough to write dialogue or action that'd progress the relationship far enough for them to have sex, bit not enough to kill the story
>"How to bypass dialogue and bonding to get to sex?"
>That happens
>it's not treated as SA, because to the author and characters, it was just a shitty Speedrun in getting together
