Can I defend oldest brother for a bit, I mean, he broke out of the brainwashing himself out of fear of Penelope dying + Penelope leaving the house
He does suck, but he loves her
As I've just finished rereading all of this up until 167 I'm making a long rant about the characters starting off strong!
1. Older brother sucks ass cannot stand him. It gets to a point where you don't even feel bad that he's being manipulated because he MADE it so easy.
2. Reynolds my love I adore him the way he told bro to shut up is so funny and he apologized first (the only genuine apology I recall actually) AND THE BUNNIES HE REMEMBERED
