https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSrY1Anxq/ Basically explains everything here

I saw this before but this was debunked. Although they may have similar plots, the story is way different. The novel of wmap is much much more complex and the manhwa was not able to show the chapters of the novel where it explains the entirety of the story.
It’s like saying all omegavers stories is a plagiarism of a japanese manga or the “kill the villainess” is a plagiarized form of “Death is the only ending for a villainess” considering the similarities despite different stories.
And the author of DOTE is kinda false… considering WMAP novel was released in 2017 despite and DOTE was released around 2020 (correct me if I’m wrong). The author of DOTE accused WMAP only when the manhwa was released which is a much later date didn’t they?

uh pretty sure DOTE (its novel at least) was released first, or else there'd be no controversy. and the novel of wmmap is actually the one that was accused of being plagiarized, afaik they changed a few things in the manhwa. and the author accused only after the manhwa was released is BECAUSE wmmap fans started attacking the author of dote first, which is why she had to come out and give a statement. at least thats what i remember.

i can't find the post where someone explained everything, but i'll tell u what i remember- back then, the author of dote was one of the first, or maybe the first to start the trope of tyrant father and daughter trope. it started gaining popularity after that. obviously copying a trope isnt plagiarism, but the author of wmmap copied the exact same sentences of dote into her own novel, maybe modified them a bit. she also copied the exact same character traits, basically everything. and also admitted**** to it and apologised in a tweet. she deleted the tweet later.

the argument of "a lot of stories have the same plot" doesnt rly work in this case bc OI wasn't as popular back then, its practically a niche genre in kr media until wmmap came out and popularized it. and its not only the big picture like "oh it's just a girl isekaid as princess and has shitty father whatever," so many similarities in small details too. you gotta read the docs.
“ Who made me a princess” is supposedly plagiarism and the author plagiarized from another story called daughter of the emperor. I also find it really weird that there’s so many people defending it saying they don’t care like this is a serious allegation and apart from that this is someone’s paycheck and life’s work???
