Just me yapping

I'm the same!! It's the reason I immediately drop all the ongoing stories unless they particularly stick out, because I'm gonna immediately forget the plot and confuse all the stories together. If I really like an ongoing story I usually go read the raws/the novel in order to finish it before I lose interest because I forgot all the previous details.
On the other hand there are also positive points: due to the fact that I easily forget almost everything after a few months I can re-read my favorite stories like once or twice a year and still enjoy it

+1!! It might be because they tend to be very similar to each other (same with isekai villainess stories and such), but these might be the worst because stories with a male lead tend to be MUCH longer than those with a female lead. My attention span just doesn't want to cooperate TT

i feel like the thing about the rofan isekai genre is that a lot of them have very interesting premises and beautiful art, but so many drag on for an unnecessarily long time and the characters begin to feel like uninteresting caricatures of real humans. also: random info dumping that i honestly do not gaf about because the world building is just the same as every other story (so there's the cold dark-haired duke of the north and the crown prince is a blonde playboy but he has daddy/mommy issues there's magic but we never really explore it further and is only used for ease in transportation etc etc) and seemingly meaningless conflict that no one can be bothered being invested in

they all kinda follow the same plot now -- only some are truly unique or riveting to read (like roxana was really good to me because of that)

and also male MCs usually has black hair lmao white or red if they're feeling unique
