Honestly the first chapter did a stellar job in making me relate to Hotta (the gathering without him... ouch. I get you Hotta)... accepting Ryota's confession out of "spite" was harsh, but I couldn't really hate him. In the end, he ended up liking Ryota so it's fine I guess? But then, when they broke up in such a real way (that phone call has 100% happened to someone before), everything resolves itself in one page. Ryota says he still wants to date Hotta - not even that he likes him! - and then everything is just fine. *That* was a let down, unfortunately. I couldn't sympathize as much with Ryota since we don't see his side of things, and in the end even if he had that puppy-like attitude, he *did* assault Hotta and then did not even try to make a case for himself when Hotta asked him if he started liking him because he looked like his ex.
I understand irl people don't start relationships with Romeo & Juliet levels of love for eachother and stuff, but that is also exactly why the two of them getting back together despite everything that happened felt so sudden. If they at least had talked things out first (instead of jumping into being back together and then fucking) this would have been a better read.
