No, Cecil is not like Grayson. Cecil is doing it intentional, but Grayson is clueless.
Cecil's eyes are blue not purple, so he is not a manifested extreme alpha who has problems with emotions.

There are two big problems with Grayson, he is unable to understand emotions, although his parents thought that he is completly emotionless. He was taught to recognize emotions from other persons by watching their faces etc., he is good at it, but it's not a 100 %, so sometimes he is irritated and doesn't know how to act. His smiles are always fake, he tries to blend in, but it often looks creepy, because it's artificial. To the shock of his parents he slowly starts to understand a few emotions right now.
And he tends to try to "help" others, which can be extremely harmful as in even deadly, although he is sincere that he wants to help. He is not really aware that his way of helping is actually problematic or sometimes really strange. So his father made sure that he doesn't kill anyone. He never attacks, only in selfdefense.
Let's say the parenting of that family is pretty messed up, due to too many children presenting too early and parents who were not really fit to be parents.
One parent was seperated from the kids, because too dangerous in the other parents eyes (can't smell, almost died of foodpoisoning). And the parent who took over, is the emotioless parent, who is totally paronoid that one of his kids becomes like his own father (who was pretty messed up), especially Grayson.
I don't want to spoil too much, at the moment Grayson's story is released as a webnovel in korean. There are some fan translations floating around. The ones in english I saw are not up to date.
The funny thing is, that lot of readers at the start wanted Grayson to get karma, but now more and more don't like to see Grayson suffer and started to like that weirdo.XD
I can't believe I put myself through that trash, ugh. I just hope the kids won't end up the way they are portrayed in that story. They seem really fucked up in the head. The elder son is still okay, but the youngest reminds me more of Grayson than Chase or Joshua.
