The author needs to be checked

Mäür äwïñ March 29, 2025 6:44 am

The author is deranged!!! That's all I can say! Wtf is wrong with her? What kind of disgusting fetish is this? First, it was “Boy meets Girl.” Her lame excuse was that she had written it during her period, and now this? I hate when female authors glorify rape, abuse and Stockholm syndrome! Most of all the BLs that have terrified me are written by females!! They need to do better!

When it comes to rape and violence, I'm holier than thou!! Yes, I'm proud to be that!! A normal human with a complete brain and humanity, would not in any way defend rape or violence or CP!! Regardless of how it's displayed, fiction or real-life!! So idfk what you're on!!

Dumb fuck!! I don't read bl that supports violence and rape, if I start and eventually see a rape scene, I drop it instantly!! Most of the bls I read are recommended so I don't intentionally search for a bl wit... Mäür äwïñ

You're the moron here for defending something that can influence teens in a negative way. Porn is also fictional but it has been frowned upon because of how it has influenced youths and adults in a negative way, An author was arrested for writing “dark fantasy” but yeah we should only look at rape in real life but not the comic fictional ones. I'm sick people like you who clearly ignore my message to why rape should not be used as an entertainment even if the characters don't exist.
You're the real moron and you should be questioned.

Teens should not read mature stories with sex. They are 18+ for a reason. End of story.

honestly i see their side of the story and why they feel like this but you're right, but this was never made for teens and in every website this is put as 18+ (i think) if teens are reading this and getting influenced that's their parent's fault for not doing their job.

If teens are 18 (which would make them u know ADULTS in most countries but OK), they are mature enough to make their choices not basing them on god damn BL comics.

Also another point, I've been seeing a lot of people bring up the fact that I read rape novels, yeah because rape is a thing and should be shown correctly. I've been reading manga for years and I've seen a lot ... Lilith's Fuck Buddy

Like fucked up topics aside and the whole “it’s fiction” aspect I think there’s something that needs to be said about how a lot of BL and even some GL all just have dark topics and how there’s this weird association of those topics with a queer genre like I’ve seen authors who made famous cute straight mangas and then have the most fucked up queer couple as either a side couple or a seperate manga and it’s like what? I know there’s a lot of history between sexual fiction and queerness but I can’t say I’m a fan of these connections between dead dove fictions and queerness

To everyone saying it's just fiction and you don't have to read it and no one got hurt and blah blah blah, just know that can be used to excuse a lot of works that should not exist including CP, incest, dead bo... Lilith's Fuck Buddy

I used to think like you, because it's easy to think 'fiction can influence people's minds, therefore anything that's shown in fiction WILL influence people, make them better or worse" but that's an incredibly naive perspective I'm glad I grew out of.

This is something that's also common for people who were raised religious (especially Christian) and were conditioned to think sin begins in the mind. Or people with moral OCD, who are scared their thoughts alone make them a good or a bad person. But reality isn't quite as simple.

The truth is, you won't become a rapist when you read about rape. You won't become a rapist when you write about rape. You won't start thinking "rape is okay " because you enjoyed a story that had rape in it. There are people who get sucked into troubling pipelines, but it's never as easy as 'they liked a story about something and now think it's okay' - rather, it takes an influencial figure or a group talking about things in convincing enough terms.

Believe it or not, but most people are able to differentiate between fiction and reality. People don't start killing, because they saw murder on TV. People don't start manipulating, because they read about manipulative people in books. I thoroughly enjoyed the NBC Hannibal series, and didn't feel tempted to try human meat after.

Likewise, you may get inspired to get better by a work of fiction, but you can't become a better person by reading the right book or watching the right movie. It's very nice and soothing to think that that's all there's too it, that you found a life hack for being a good person: avoid bad things.

When you look closer, this is a very evangelical-conservative ideology. Pure mind, pure soul kind of thing. "Don't let your kids read about gay people cause it will turn them gay" thing (which sometimes may seem like the truth, because reading about queer people made it easier for me to figure out I'm queer too. But the only thing it does, is make people notice that gay people are people too - that you even might be one of them).

In the end, this is disordered thinking, and the quicker you let go of it, the better for you. Sometimes you may read about things you find personally appalling: I find rape and incest personally appalling. But you can wonder about how it's shown, or why it's shown that way (here, even by the title, we're told this character is evil - what is the author doing by showing him as sexually coercive?)

Sometimes, it's even good that it makes us uncomfortable, because life is uncomfortable, and all these things are a part of the world around us. Fiction has always been a place to explore difficult things in a safe environment, that's one of it's prime sociological functions.

Idk if this will speak to you OP, it doesn't have to, though I do hope you get some broader perspective eventually, but maybe someone of a similar mind will read it and it will prompt some thought.

I agree and disagree because I think it’s a lot more trickier then “fiction doesn’t at all affect people” or “fiction reflects who you are as a person” because I believe both can be true. If you start reading enough fiction about rape you can become alittle desensitized to it and then if you have people in the comments saying “oh this was so cute!” Or talking positively about a certain part of the rape was hot or enjoyable then that’s a group of people being influential about one’s thoughts especially when people comment things like “I wish that character would do that to me” and again yeah I don’t think this is just a common thing but there have been cases of people losing the line between fiction and reality so I think this conversations of fiction and reality are super important to have. Like there was that manga artist who got arrested for having a atrocious amount of child porn in his possession, I literally a few month ago came across a guy on twitter who was complaining about Japan changing the school swimsuits because in his words they were not revealing enough and that would affect loli porn, he then went on a rant about how lolicon artists need children as models and this guy was a hardcore lolicon upon me looking at his account. This is not me saying that we need to ban dark fiction because I do agree it’s fiction and if you don’t like it you don’t like it and should just move on but I also would kinda disagree that it doesn’t have affects on people because once you get a group of people together with a certain attitude towards a certain topic someone is going to go sideways with it. Both sides seem to have this entitlement, you aren’t better than someone for enjoying fictional rape and you aren’t better than someone for not liking fictional rape. It’s fine to like and dislike whatever but I do believe certain topics shouldn’t be more “normalized” than others, especially dark topics that are real and can happen to people. While the rape in the manga wasn’t real there are plenty of real people out there who have been raped and as one personally I wouldn’t enjoy having average conversations with people about how much they liked reading that happen to a character especially when they have the attitude of “well it’s not real, it’s just fiction” if I bring up how that convo would affect me. Yes that particular rape didn’t happen but what happened to me did happen and some areas of mine might have been parallel to what happened in the story. Long story short there’s more nuance to the whole fiction and reality thing and while it might not be because of the stories themselves they and the attitudes of the readers might some atleast some degree of affect on people
