i really hope this ends with the boss never getting any redemption and daejong living happily without him bc i cannot think of any way that freak could ever make up for his actions. if they revealed that the reason the boss choked him as a kid was because he felt it was the only way to save him from his pedo dad it could have helped justify his actions (still wouldn’t redeem all the other fucked up shit he did after meeting daejong as an adult tho, but would at the very least be a step in the right direction). but to have him explicitly say that he didn’t care if daejong got molested by his dad?? atp i cannot begin to understand what the authors goal is here, im rlly just reading out of morbid curiosity…
