At first I just wanted to point out that ML is starting to act like he actually just wanted a mother where he can experience having to do mundane things because he wasn’t able to as a child that is often beaten with no parental presence (at least it seems that way.)
I’m starting to see the “no chemistry” part about them. Like, I’m not feeling it, at first I thought the story *tried* to establish a goal for both of them but neither of their goals make any sort of impact or just plain weak as shit that the immersion into the story dies pretty quick.
But no I realize I don’t know where the story is heading to inspite it having so many drama potential and then it’s wasted with whatever slowburn crap scenes we’re getting that is basically the same thing over and over for the recent chapters. We get a little bit of teasing here and there but it never actually goes back to touch into whatever is going on, no explanation, just letting us dip our toes into the water then it dries up. It’s frustrating.
ML made it seem like he got big plans and he does but he really likes dillydallying and his reason for liking her just came out of nowhere, like why all of the sudden and how did he even knew about this woman, while MC, though understandably kept herself hidden in a shell, doesn’t show that much character, relatable sure but… what else? She doesn’t have anything interesting about her, being the older one, busty and just fresh out of toxic relationship is one thing that many can find themselves relating to and that’s something that we already know but what’s the use of it? I wanna know what she wants to do from here on after getting out of a shitty relationship, I think that matters more in relatability and that would make her more interesting if she had a goal in mind. Why are we getting fed with bird seeds one grain at a time when there’s enough angst to dive into about the development between MC’s ex and his loser gf, or ML’s family drama? What the fcuk is going on with their family that makes the air so tense? Isn’t haesoo in debt so why aren’t we getting drama on that part, like show something that make us believe more into why she’s terrified of loan sharks and dead set on paying them back not just because of “oh debt bad must pay loan shark bad” Why are we getting these short, no substance chapters?
100% agree. I also commented couple of weeks ago that the story is stuck in one place, and characters are stuck also. No development for so long. Got a bunch of downwotes ( ̄へ ̄)
