Since he has been in contact with her previously I assumed bc he had magic affinity and feelings for the MC, he can't be easily manipulated. Otherwise, why isn't he already under Yvonnes spell?
I think the reason he’s not under Yvonne’s spell is because he hasn’t been in contact with her (since that part in the slums, where I don’t think she tried to use her manipulation powers there because she thought she knew for sure that he would bring her regardless).
Plus I don’t think him liking the MC prevents him from being manipulated because if it did then that soldier in training guy (I think Eclise?) wouldn’t have been able to be manipulated either, his feelings were way stronger imo.
Giving them to vinter for safe keeping would've been so much better??? She has no evidence if they accuse her of anything now
