Technically gyno treats all female health issues minus childbirth. That’s obstetrics. I have pcos and endometriosis and have been regularly seeing a gynaecologist since I was 13 but I first met one when I was 12. A lot of uterus having people will see one semi-regularly so it’s not uncommon. The issue is that he’s probably never gone to one before now (he really should have because it’s healthy for you!) so now it looks exactly like what it is: a pregnancy appointment.
