It’s sad to see Yeonjo in this situation. His attempt at revenge and to kill the ML was a major fail last season. Every man has treated him like a play thing. That guy speaking up for Yeonjo should be ashamed of himself. He treated him awful when they were together. It appears the ML still has feelings for him so rather kill him he keeps him locked up to torture him. Also, the ML doesn’t want him to try to commit suicide which would defeat the purpose. I believe he is trying to break his resolve and spirit whatever is left of it. A part of ML was hopeful last season Yeonjo had changed and they could live happily ever after. It was wishful thinking on my part as well. I believe he still cares for him but they could never go back to the way they used to be. They are both unhappy at this point. As the saying goes misery likes company. The days of them lovingly laughing and frolicking together are officially over.
