i do love how pai was willing to lose his head in order to show his terminally ill sister the princess from the fairytales she adored, one last time. almost as if to say “if my sister is going to die so will i” and damn that’s great storytelling i shed a tear

I do hope he gets arrested. I understand his intentions but he could’ve quite literally just tell her what’s going on and so much could’ve been avoided. He chose the worst possible way to go about it and out her in grave danger cause of it, not to mention he shot her (he didn’t intend to but it wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t kidnap her either), so there should be consequences
i just reread this whole manhwa and… lyrica is the subject of the most contempt amongst the southern nobles because of her joint ownership over the sugar beets… i don’t know how pai is gonna get outta this one if he doesnt get charged with literal treason under suspicion for kidnapping an imperial family member… it’ll probably blow over tho since ppl will find out lyrica can treat the “unqualified”. i love politics !
