Just finished season 2!!!!
Omg. I love that secondary characters appeared more and that they all knew how Nakwon's shitty attitude will get him someday, even by mistake. Karma bitch.
Well, second season was all about him coming to serious terms with what he had done to Mokhwa. He calls it at it is: Rape. He constantly beats himself up about this and he clearly, at least, knows that he'll always be an agressor. Not matter what he does or how much love bombing he does. Mokhwa, on the other side, has the ganster/mob mentality that that level of violence was expected from someone who wanted to humilated him and wanted him submit to them. Horrific. He's just so used to that he created a mental barrier and mantra to just carry on. That mental barrier is what keeps him sane and permits him to, in some way, dismiss the attack even if his body flinches when Nakwon touches him. There are traces of the violence inflicted on him.
So... It takes a while for Nakwon to finally confess but when he does it, he does it with all his body. Sweating, trembling, sttutering, not able to let Mokhwa go and taking Mokhwa silence to go further... Even a person who tells you he/she loves you can rape you so this was... barely consensual. But it was Mokhwa's thoughts about that they're no longer in a uneven situation, that he could humour him if he was in the mood or get off of his grip by harm him (Nakwon) in his injured arm, and that makes the difference. He's actually thinking his options and giving Nakwon the chance to explain his actions now that there's not violent coaxion between them.
Still, in real life, rape is an unforgivable act. But this is not real life, just fiction, and I think author did a decent job showing is Nakwon's penance, reflections and desperation while still being his usual self, a douche. But a douche with a conscience, it seems.
And, having a pretty face helps with Nakwon's case. The man is gorgeous and his hardcore blushings were cute.
Now to season 3!

Season 3 was such a rollercoaster of emotions. Mokhwa deserves all the love in the world. Honey, you should have chomped that ear off and maybe his d*ck too. But, I get it. That's also part of the Nakwon's penance. Letting him know Mokhwa held a grudge and hasn't forgotten or forgiven anything. All those past 'I'm sorry's didn't felt as honest as this one, when he felt how much it must had hurt Mokhwa physically and emotionally. Sadly, Nakwon's works like that. He must experience it to finally understand the weight of his words and actions.
Nakwon's a trainwreck of a character. He can be so annoying but funny, and one minute so entitled but one word from Mokhwa can humble him into oblivion. The man is so pushy and just wants to do the things he wants and get what he wants in the way he wants and Mokhwa knows that and humour him. But now he knows when he's just bluffing. Hopefully, that horrible side of Nakwon's, one that Mokhwa's remembers well, won't show up ever again. I'm glad the author didn't let the rape pass as something minor and came back in later seasons. They may have worked around it but still there's a four season for Nakwon to fuck it up lol
And I'm happy that we can hear more about Mokhwa's inner thoughts and his past. He's such a lovely character.
I started reading this because of the cute cover but damn. I was not ready for this psycho rapist. If THAT hadn't happened, Nakwon would be a favourite of mine because he's an excentric, smartass, obsessive, conflicted, cunning, quick witted, contradictory, obnoxious mf but he had to be a damn crazy rapist too... He has a plan for everything and reads people like a true criminal mind. I'm only a few chapters in but I hope it gets better because how the hell the author got them together without using yaoi's magic... That's what I want to know.
Poor Mokhwa is just so love-starved.
Edit:
Spoilers
Finished first season. Nakwon's spiriling to madness and meltdown was nice to see and read. It was very in character of him being that dramatic, dangerous and batshit crazy but not satisfying enough. His "what have I done?" when realizing how badly he hurt(raped) Mokhwa finally sink in when seeing how battered he was. His mind works in psychotic ways damn. For him, everything was power play, yeah pls, and later lust or a mix of both. And seeing him trying to make sense of his feelings and actions was very in character and fustrating. He's so conflicted and even tries to convince himself into a narrative that was more convenient for him. Thinking as fast as he does must hurt lol but still, the rape (both times) issue must be adressed with Mokhwa present and awake. His 'I'm sorry' doesn't mean anything if he later tries to touch him or do something more just because he can. Damn shameless, selfish, coward, bastard.
