I only ready the last chapter so I could ne wrong, but maybe because he wanted to be buried next to her, if her name is there, she will buried next to his late husband since they were married and the "uncle" is just a brother in law in people's eyes. it would be weird if she was burried next to his brother in law right? maybe until the end he also wants her name to be clear out of rumor from having an affair
