On one hand, I feel bad bc his family seems very obsessive - like, cute and all that you want your kid to be happy, but if you’re not even checking if he is actually happy then what’s the point? Intention isn’t everything
But on the other hand, I think one could figure out that after the nth romantic partner practically begging you to express your love more you should kinda tap into the idea ^^’ “oh, another one asking if I care about them” well yeah, sir, because they really can’t tell (￣∇￣") I don’t hate the dude, I really quite like him.
