I'm all for dark stories, trust me I love them but only when the end is twisted and not exactly a "happy ending" for the bad guy lol if we say happy ending thinking only about Sam then all good, but aince author said "I know everyone is hoping for a happy ending for both" I can only imagine where this is going and I'm devastated because I was really hoping for an author that was finally going to give us a dark story with a good twisted ending

Nooo author please listen to me while I grab your face, nobody wants a happy ending for the King, we want him dead while the world burns, he's still laughing while dying because he's a psycho and Sam just stares at him from above with blood all over his face, because he is now a free man who can finally search for his daughter
