i think the author forgot about this lol, ghosts pretty much have not been brought up until these latest chapters it seems

If I remember correctly it's just the palace who is overflowing with ghost, I don't think there's ghosts in the duchy !! She went to the palace and that's how her ability was discovered, and the incident with her sister was also at the palace ! So I guess the author only pull the ghost card when she's in the palace, or when the ghost is attach to someone.

There’s no ghosts in the duchy that’s why her sister got attacked the first time she went to the palace because she had never met one in the duchy
