I think the brother likes to both feel superior and like a saviour, but the FL is too honest, has self-respect and is too smart for her brother to take.
While the delusional sister is AMAZING at kissing butt and lying out of her arse, so has the brother believing he's basically her personal prince
Tbh what I can't wrap my head around is the father caring so much about the family's image... but thinking it's completely acceptable to bring in the illegitimate daughter and that no one would mock their family for that? Especially after that story about the former cp conspiring against his wife over a mistress... idk if it was true or not but after such rumors... for a Duke to do that... did he get kicked in the head by a donkey? Even that girl admitted at first no one wanted to associate with her because she was a bastard... so it makes no sense!

I honestly can’t wrap my head around how delusional that white-haired half-sister, the duke, and the brother are. How does she think the MC stole her spot? She’s the illegitimate one, yet she has no issues with the brother? They’re from a ducal household, so there should be plenty of wealth/status/power to go around. And the way the brother just completely abandoned his sister the moment she arrived—it doesn’t make sense. Didn’t they get along when they were younger? Honestly, they all just seem completely crazy (maybe too much “noble blood”?).
Also, does anyone know if the MC and her mother ever get to leave the household? I really just want to see them living happily together (づ￣ ³￣)づ
