I love Mangago and the comments. I was calmly reading the manga only to be hit with the comments about being unsatisfied about changing things, Mary Sue's, violence and thinks I didn't understand until I went back like 4 pages of comments.
To my understanding, things are like this (a summary of the comments); in the novel things where more violent than in the manga, with Karas' killing hostages left and right as if he where playing with toy soldiers, in the manga he hurt one and Abel stopped him.
Now, some people are saying that that is not true to the novel, other are saying that Abel is a Mary Sue because he stopped him from killing innocent people in the process (I think they dont understand who he stopped from killing), others are trying to explain why Karas is not an asshole (one with trauma but still an asshole, let's be truthfull) , and others are defending Abel, and then there is the occasional funny comments (The one about the Kissing Booth).
My two cents as a gossip column, guys it's a manga and a novel. The development is good in the novel I am sure, but I like Karas here; he is a cute asshole who tries, I am not saying maybe he isn't cute in the novel but I liked the fact he is tuned down. I am personally not stopping reading until he gets more violent, like in the novel (because I want something tamer for a change). In my opinion, Abel was stopping him from killing the hostages and it's all good because, most likely, in that scenario, I would also be a peasant. That one good Kissing Booth comment, if you read this, that was epic in its own way.
