They're black and white like the Yin & Yang.
not just that, i actually went "they're like ying & yang" because of that part of the story when they told us ryeong is weak to the cold whereas, jae can thrive in the cold but too much warmth can hurt him which is the opposite to ryeong. it's just a simple thought. they are so opposite.
