Please rate this higher. That rating is unfair.

I've reread this many times and I love it. The characters talk and interact like regular guys who are friends, which I think was written well. I believe the rating is low because it's too short and people didn't get the charm of Takumi's character.

He's not very charming, lol, he's got a dry personality. He's a straightforward guy who likes watching sports with his guy best friend. Now, imagine being suddenly frenched-kissed by your best friend and then being confessed to, completely out of nowhere. That would be incredibly shocking. Of course, it's wrong for him to say that it's disgusting between two men but he apologized later.

"If I have to give you my body to keep you from going, it's a small price."

This quote reminds me of senpai from Koisuru Boukun (The Tyrant Falls in Love). Senpai and Takumi both are in love but their minds need to catch up. He just needs time to understand his feelings because it's new to him as he was straight before. Imagine if you were gay and you suddenly realized you are jealous of your opposite-sex friend having feelings for others. You're gonna need time to process that you are probably bi. The problem is that the author didn't show Takumi reflecting on his feelings for Motoki so it feels like he just wants to keep him as a best friend.

Motoki was wrong for suddenly kissing him. It's actually kind of uncharacteristic of him. But one can't help but feel for him because he is genuinely and sincerely in love with Takumi. When he cried after Takumi said he probably like him, you could really see how relieved and grateful he was that such a miracle happened. He wasn't a doormat too, he distanced himself when Takumi rejected him, and even blocked him later.

Overall, this manga is solid, but it would benefit from more chapters showing the characters’ thoughts and the development of their relationship. We need more doki doki feelings sensei! But I do like how this manga presents a more mature, dry take on adult friends realizing they’re in love. That rating is too unfair. It deserves to be rated higher.
