The story gets complex with chapters and its both heartbreaking and sweet. I'm mostly reading for our fl, she's both cold hearted and such a warm presence too around the ones she comes to love.
About the ml, it is shown that while he did cheat(which I'm not supporting btw) there's also the fact that our fmc didn't really give much shit about him all those years they were engaged so ig he just felt like he wasn't really her type or something and that he wanted to get her attention through the only way he would seem fit(making her jealous).
Personally, i feel like cheating is something that could be redeemable, he isn't exactly a toxic person, as you'll see with chapters and it was an action he did to kindof have ines attention, so long as he didn't repeat cheating and actually became a warming presence towards ines who has such a heartbreaking backstory, i am loving this story. Also, i did spoil myself about the timeline stuff and that kinda made me love carcel a bit more.
In summary, the fact that i consider cheating person to be able to change, which our ml promises to do and actually does change for the better.
The 'cheating' you view is very black & white. It doesn't apply to this story. The ML did not want to get married to the FL also his reason for affair is a bit complicated. You have to read it to understand. ML doesn't cheat after the marriage. If you want to see the real trash there is this crown prince he is beyond garbage. This story is a 10/10 if you compare some shit ass trash stories. Also FL was very chill when it comes to ML having an affairs in fact she encouraged him having open relationship with other women

To each their own I guess. For me even though FL opened their relationship and even encouraged him to cheat, ML going practically everywhere expecting he could catch FL's attention felt so messy. Honestly I felt bad for both FL and ML because the whole situation felt so messy and it looked like their relationship was just bound to go downwards spiral. Maybe this story is just not for me. Yea it does kinda seem like a mess since you can't fully blame the ml as well bcz the fl is a regressor and made the choice of being mls life partner w/o his say in it. Also fl seemed really uninterested in him so ig you could say it was an action done in a not so sane mindset, and like i said earlier, he does change (which i very much like)
But their relationship doesn't take a downward spiral since they aren't really toxic people, I'd just say they made some choices in life during not so sane state of mind but then they work their life out together, even in the manhwa so far, they seem pretty happy with how they are and I'm sure they'll do better.
Lastly, it's alright if this isn't your thing, i can understand cause i too drop some stories since they sometimes contain elements i don't really appreciate. There are some other stories with similar theme to this one so maybe those could be your thing.
this is one of the few stories whose popularity doesn't sit right with me. its been years since i read it. and i dropped it right on chapter 15. cant pick it up no matter how much i try. ML cheated on FL multiple times when they were engaged. i'm not trying to be a hater. genuinely wanted to know what makes you people keep on reading it.
