I totally agree. They're the same, but not. And they're distinct enough in looks and personalities to be their own person, plus the jealousy, it's 100% a head trip grey area on the cheating.

I would agree if they don't share memories. At that point, it's cruel to not share Nux when their happy memories are mostly about him. I hate harem, you would see me avoid it like a plague but.. these people are Owen. Like Nux suggest, one way or another he want to love and marry them all.

I noticed a lot of ppl feel the same as you. And its nothing wrong with it. Its great that we all have different view points. If it makes you feel better think of it as a poly relationship. It might help a bit to turn off the cheating switch.

I'm the opposite I prefer he treats the other Owens as separate people and I wish he would treat them better instead of only focusing on the main Owen but it's whatever I told myself not to think about it anymore just let it go and ride it out

That’s how I feel. But I’m also thinking the jealousy stems from lack of self love. If Main Owen can’t love himself, he isn’t loving his other aspects/other Owens.

It does feel like forced poly though, with how Main Owen is uncomfortable and yknow. But Nux is trying to reassure him.

I just view the Owen's as different ppl although their technically the same person because of the different personalities even though it's just different versions of himself throughout his life span. But I still feel like his love for the main Owen shouldn't be different since they're all versions of him. So to me I feel like the love should be equal. Then we are constantly seeing how the other Owen's are deeply in love with him & feel neglected while he doesn't feel the same. It kinda feels unfair to me. I would rather the author just magically merged them all together as 1. Because as the story continues & I see the other Owens trying but getting push to the back it makes me sad. Because i am viewing it as polyship to process it better. But I learned this is just a story where I can't think to deeply into. I just gotta take it for what it is and keep moving.

I just think it makes since his love for all isn’t the same. Again, it’s like loving some aspects of Main Owen. Without Main Owen, the others wouldn’t be there nor would Nux want to.

They are all different versions, so his love for them is different versions. That’s how I see it.

I’ve been trying to think of it that way but with the main Owen being super jealous and even beating them up when they even think about Nux in a loving way, going out of his way to keep them away from Nux, and then Nux not having feelings for them at all and only putting up with them really does not make it feel that way lmao it does feel more like one of those harems where the mc is dating/married to one but all the other girls just won’t go away and keep flirting with him even when he doesn’t have feelings for them and hot gf clearly is jealous. And I HATE those tropes, not saying I hate this one because again my brain is super confused on how to feel about it but poly is far away from what my brain is thinking about all this based on the characters’ mindsets, if that makes sense I’m really bad at wording

I agree honestly. Why is Nux being intimate with others if he doesn’t love the rest romantically like he does with Main Owen? Unless it was said in story that he HAS to be intimate with other selves of Main Owen like a customary rule. Even then, this all feels forced and just icky.

It’s more reasonable that Main Owen is jealous because to him, the other Owens aren’t exactly him. And Nux saying that adds more tension tbh.

I think what really gets me is it feels like Nux and the other Owens have to put up with each other, like he HAS to kiss and have sex with the other Owens because they’re the same person, but then they feel jealousy over each other, fight for Nux’s affection secretly or physically, and like honestly I feel like the memories share thing is just straight up forgotten other than “ahhh I guess main Owen will beat me up for this” and it’s like dawg Σ( ￣□￣||) what I mean is that they’re treated more like separate beings with no connections more than 5 versions of the same dude with shared memories and the way they interact with each other leans more towards a harem or forced cheating rather than an actual poly/mono (if you can even have that as an option) relationship. Reading your replies and posts I definitely think that you have a similar thought process to mine, I already kinda went over it in my other two replies so I won’t spam my message board with it but you definitely cleared up what was so confusing for me, it literally is because they’re moving away from making them the same person and trying to distinct them while trying to keep the jealousy and whatnot to the point it feels like forced cheating like “I HAVE to have an affair with this person to keep my marriage from falling apart” which makes sense in the context of they’re all the same person but they really do nothing to keep that mindset other than an occasional reminder. I knowwww and what makes things worse is that I don’t even think he can NOT have an affair with them (I’ll just call it that for now even if it’s not technically an affair I don’t know what else to call it lol)
Because with the shared memories they also are forced to like Nux whether they want to or not so I feel like it would be mind torturing for them to love this guy and have sex and be married with him but only in their memories/dreams while they’re forbidden from Nux or Nux refuses to love them back which is just torturing.
I just wish there was a way that didn’t make it feel like an affair while also giving them the love they deserve and if losing 4 pretty well made characters and merging them to one will solve it then honestly it’s a good sacrifice cuz either way I feel like this relationship would burn with the jealousy of being too distinct with the torture of being similar enough
