The plot of emperor hating the mc was never in the og, she disliked reading mc for some reason and decided to write her own fanfic where mc suffers. And that's the book mc found. In the og novel emperor apparently was supposed to be loving father to both mc and the real "real" princess. (I also saw it in the comments with spoilers so it could be wrong but overall pretty close I think)
