Yea I get it why people complained about that abuse (or r@pe scene) but, THAT is unfortunately one part of some relationships, ofc not majority. I've met people with similar story irl, they've had fight with their partner, sometimes it gets physical, they were abused, they had bruises, and yet, some got better, either by their efforts or by time. Personally, I think people could learn n change, to the worse or better. Thus, it's hard to brand Taichi as a bad person with what he did. To err is human. It's good that he did his share of efforts to correct his way, and Nao noticing n accepting them. This takes 2 to work. In the end, Taichi was shown to be a beautiful person at heart just like Nao. And that's all that matters.
